GoRed For Dyslexia: It is International Dyslexia Awareness Month.
Organisations across the world are raising awareness about dyslexia across October.
I recently discovered a campaign to raise awareness about dyslexia that is working across many countries across the world during the month of October.
What captured my attention about this particular campaign was the use of the colour red. For many children with dyslexia, if they saw red writing in their text books at school, they would fear criticism about their work. The colour red would trigger anxiety and overwhelm. This is an aspect of dyslexia that I directly work with in my work as a coach and soon to be therapeutic counsellor.
This really resonated with me and whilst there are other great campaigns also taking place across the world (I broadly support any campaign that raises awareness about dyslexia) , this year I opted to support this campaign.
