Things not to say to someone who is dyslexic.

I found this wonderful video from BBC 3 about dyslexia. It really illustrates what it is like to have dyslexia as well as what it is like to experience the ignorance of others about dyslexia

I really like it when I come across a gem of a video on YouTube which almost perfectly informs about dyslexia. Videos are shareable and easy to watch and gets the message across effectively.

So I was chuffed to see this YouTube video from BBC 3 which seeks to counter assumptions that people without dyslexia can so often make about someone with dyslexia.

Please take a look at the video below and let me know what you think about it?

What I like most about the video is the breadth of needs that comes with being dyslexic. I believe that so many people who do not know much about dyslexia seem to think that it is just all about reading and writing when in reality the effects of dyslexia are much great affecting not only one’s ability to read and write (for some) but also processing speed, fatigue, and emotional and social needs.

If you would like to know more about dyslexia I recommend going to the British Dyslexia Association website for more information - just click here.
