Reviewing Resources: Current Understanding, Support Systems, and Technology-led Interventions for Specific Learning Difficulties.

What is the current understanding about SpLD’s in our education system? What support systems are in place and what technology-led interventions are available that help? The Council For Science and Technology recently commissioned this report that will be useful to parents and teachers alike to use as a resource.

I have literally just been sent this report and am pleased to see Prof Julia Carroll and Dr Helen Ross contribute to this as well as many others. Whilst I haven’t looked at it in detail (this is going to take a while) and I really pleased to see explanations on the current understanding of SpLD’s (specific learning difficulties) as well as a call for more of a systemic change to incorporate parental support as a part of the education system.

I will undoubtedly use this report to contribute to future articles but I wanted to share this with you right now as it is important.

Please leave a comment below to tell me what you thought of the report.
