At time of writing it is August 2021 and the Autumn Term is not far away. Whilst we do what we can as parents to enjoy the summer and help our kids to relax, we know that there will be challenges coming up in the new term regarding how our school and colleges support dyslexia.

As parents we will have questions and sometimes it is really hard to find the answers to those questions especially if we are new to the idea of having a child with dyslexia and what they need in place in order to be able to work to their strengths.

Having delivered parenting talks across the UK about supporting the emotional development of a child with dyslexia, I have spoken to many parents at events organised by the British Dyslexia Association and other organisations and it is clear that finding information about dyslexia support is really difficult.
