A good friend of the Studying With Dyslexia Blog, Elizabeth Kwateng-Amaning, is organising an inspirational speaker event in Wandsworth, London focusing on living with dyslexia and overcoming it's challenges.
Aspire2inspire Dyslexic Inspirational Speakers Event
15th September 2016 Penfold Centre SW18 4TJ -
Thank you very much for this opportunity to be able to talk about the reason why the Aspire2Inspire Dyslexic Speakers Event was organised.
This event is being organised to build awareness about dyslexia within our community through our guest speakers. In the past there have been lots of dyslexia awareness events. The A2i Dyslexic Speakers event has booked Former Wandsworth Mayor 2015, Cllr Nicola Nardelli, Wandsworth local
councillors, entrepreneurs, educators, inventors, and university graduates. I feel this event is inspirational because the
speakers have all come from a place where dyslexia was not recognised but
somehow they have managed to find strategies of dealing with dyslexia and have
set up businesses or completed education, regardless of the barrier of dyslexia.

I felt it was really important to get the message of dyslexia across to many people who are dyslexic and find that they are struggling in the education system , the workplace or life in general. Guests and speakers from The Dyslexic Inspirational Speakers event will aspire to inspire anyone who is dyslexic, and to help them unlock their full potential.
There is still a stigma attached to being dyslexic and some people are ashamed to talk about their learning difference. This event will highlight that dyslexia shouldn’t be a hindrance to achieving your goals.
