At the start of week three of #schoolsclosureuk I am thrilled to be able to announce a webinar for parents on managing anxiety from author and CEO of Do-IT Solutions, Prof Amanda Kirby.
Last week I attended a webinar hosted by the British Dyslexia Association about managing anxiety for children with dyslexia who are currently at home during #schoolsclosureuk. The speaker was Professor Amanda Kirby who is a professor and CEO of Do-IT Solutions as well as an author, mum and grandmother.
For me, the webinar gave me a wonderful sense of hope in that Amanda gave parents so many ideas of what they could do to support their children at a time when most of us are so focused on what we can’t do.
In this period of #schoolsclosureuk the levels of anxiety for us as parents and also for our children will increase as we are increasingly experiencing more and more restrictions on our daily activities. I believe that we can’t just ignore the psychological impact and we need to actively put in strategies to manage our feelings of anxiety.
So, with that in mind, if you feel the same but would like to get some ideas on how to do this then I would encourage you to join Amanda on Thursday 9th April.
